Senate Republican Leader Rob Ortt expressed his condolences following the tragic line of duty deaths of two Syracuse area law enforcement officials. Ortt stated, "The tragic shooting deaths of an Onondaga County Sheriff’s Deputy and a Syracuse PD officer are a gut-wrenching reminder of the courage and sacrifice of the brave men and women who put themselves in harm’s way in order to protect our communities."
